Commission Works~
The works in this folder show past commission pieces using original shoes or boots from the client and also specific information letter impression eggs.
One of my specialties is making commission pieces from shoes or boots from a client. The client will tell me special things about themselves or their child and I'll try to translate that personality with metal bits, lettering, numbered rail-road date nails or textures when possible. Important information like names, birthdays, special dates and times is either worked into the shoes or boots are engraved on the bottom. I create lots of baby shoe sculptures even athletic type cleats and basketball shoes!
My wonderfully real-life-size and looking concrete eggs are now being personalized with birthdays, times, wedding dates and special words by my letter impression technique. They can be displayed as a single egg on a bolt or in my barbed wire baskets.
