Wee Art Match Boxes~
This winter I explored a new artistic process and created these intricate and visually imaginative "Stitched Matchstick Boxes".
They are funny, whimsical, functional, fit-in-your-pocket, shiny, textural non-concrete items and are available only at area 61!
Beautifully up-cycled, these matchboxes measure 1 1/2"W x 2"L x 1/2"D and have graphics & stitching on both sides!
The laminated graphics come from vintage World Book encyclopedias, Planter's/Mr. Peanut cardboard, Monopoly cards and paper fortune cookies sayings. Each box is machine stitched with shiny, silky embroidery thread or special glow-in-the-dark thread.
